How do I type subscript in Excel or Google Sheets?
In Excel on Windows, double-click the cell to enter edit mode, select the characters, then press Ctrl+= for subscript (Ctrl+Shift+= for superscript). Excel for Mac has no keyboard shortcut — press ⌘+1, open the Font tab, and tick Subscript. In Google Sheets, Ctrl+, and Ctrl+. work exactly like they do in Docs.
